In our country, India, everyone drinks milk tea, and in every house in our country makes milk tea. It is the habit of Indian people to drink tea after waking up from sleep in the morning. In India, people use tea as an energy drink, and when they wake up they drink tea. But after drinking tea, many people will say that they feel acidity or heartburn. So have you ever thought about what harm drinking tea in excess causes to our body? So in this blog post we are going to inform you about what are the side effects of drinking milk tea in large quantities or what are the disadvantages of drinking it.
There are so many side-effects of milk tea; below I mention some of those:
1. Risk of weight gain:
Now days, people are more conscious about health and the body. Milk tea contains milk along with sugar, both milk and sugar are high-calorie substances. In our country, most people drink tea 2-3 times a day, so there is a risk of gaining weight even by drinking too much milk tea.
2. Sleeping issue:
In our daily lives, we must have heard that if I’m feeling sleepy, I have to drink tea. it is fact that if we drink tea, then we are feel energetic. Milk tea contains some amounts of caffeine. Due to caffeine, we feel more active and energetic, but if we take caffeine in high amounts, it will affect our sleep cycle. If some people drink tea at night, then they are having problems sleeping until late at night because of this insomnia or sleeping problem accured.
3. Acidity and digestion problems:
This is a common problem that happens to every person who drinks too much milk tea. Many people have gas problems due to adulteration of milk and tea. Tea contain substance called tannins, which produce some amount of acid in your stomach, and when the acid amount increases in your stomach, it will cause a heartburn problem. If you have a high acidity problem, then my advice is to stay away from milk tea.
4. Stress level and anxiety:
As we discussed above, the amount of caffeine found in tea. If we take caffeine in large amounts, then it will affect our nervous system and make us more anxious, which is not good for us.
5. Calcium deficiency:
Milk tea contains some amount of milk so we consider as source of calcium. However, milk tea has caffeine along with milk and caffeine hinders of calcium in our body. Due to excessive intake of caffeine, our body is not able to absorb calcium properly, which can lead to bone problems or even weaken our bones.
6. Dental problem:
By drinking tea in large amount, our teeth become discolored; they will become yellow. As discussed earlier, tea has a substance called tannin which is responsible for causing cavities in our teeth or tooth decay.
7. Pimples problem:
Some people are having side effects like pimples on their faces because of tea, but its not a major problem until you are more conscious of your look.
8. Heart health problem:
Milk tea contains a high amount of sugar, which is not safe for heart. If we take sugar in large amounts, it will cause an issue of an increasing sugar level in our blood and cause high blood pressure, which increases heart disease in our body.
9. Addiction:
This is a common thing that is found in all tea lovers; after addiction, if we do not drink tea in time it gives us headaches and makes us feel uneasy. To avoid all these side effects, limiting tea consumption is the right option.
10. Diabetes and cholesterol level:
Due to the presence of sugar in tea, drinking tea in large quantities in daily life increases blood sugar level in our body. Due to we are at risk of developing type 2 diabetes. In the long term, we have to take insulin for diabetes. Consumption of full-fat milk and sugar also increases the cholesterol level in your body.
